Reynolds Sandwich Reviews

It's a good sandwich, but he really wanted to charge me extra to put mustard on the sandwich. The lady was making it from scratch, but he still said it costs extra for mustard to be put ON the sandwich, although he gave me a free pack of mustard to put on myself. If I wanted to make my own sandwich I would have stayed home. Anyway, just put some mustard on the sandwich and make people happy. I was the only person in the shop, so they had the time. Just poor service.

This is a two many sandwich shop and the sandwiches and service are excellent. Jun and the young lady in the back making the sandwiches and keeping up with the orders. Clean, convenient and good food. I recommend the Ruben and the BLATC. Overall good food. and lets not forget the fountain diet coke!

I used to come here every morning before work and they have amazing sandwiches and bomb ranch!

Really good turkey avocado and tomato sandwich. Would come here again! Very friendly staff.

I've been to this place to visit a pet hospital across the street. Enjoyed a great portion of sandwich with Boar's head brand ham a lot. These days, it is hard to find a quality lunch meal under $10 wherever, but this place satisfiied my needs. I will definitely go again when I have a chance to visit the area later.

It's great sandwich I totally recommend try it!!! They are using fresh boar's head products and very delicious.
Reynolds Sandwich
If you’re anywhere near 1340 Reynolds Ave Ste 106, Irvine, CA 92614, chances are you've heard the buzz about Reynolds Sandwich. Locals swear by it. Travelers mark it on their food maps. And once you’ve tried it? You’re hooked.
What makes Reynolds Sandwich at Reynolds Ave worth the stop
Step inside and you’ll get why Reynolds Sandwich is more than just a bite—it’s a place that feels like home. Tucked inside a modest strip in Irvine, this hidden gem serves sandwiches that walk the fine line between classic comfort and unexpected delight.
The turkey pesto melt? Toasted just right with a generous layer of freshly roasted turkey breast, basil pesto, melted provolone, and arugula that still has its crunch. Or the BBQ pulled pork—slow-cooked for hours until it falls apart with a smoky sweetness that pairs beautifully with a crisp coleslaw. Every sandwich here feels like it was made by someone who cares, and frankly, that’s rare.
From first-hand experience, the vibe is just as important as the food. You’ll find clean wood tables, a short but smart menu, and that warm, unpretentious service that makes you want to linger. And yes, the place gets busy at lunch, but it’s the kind of wait that builds anticipation instead of frustration.
Sandwiches that balance flavor and freshness—crafted, not assembled
Let’s be clear: there’s a big difference between a sandwich shop and a sandwich experience, and Reynolds Sandwich delivers the latter. Ingredients are sourced thoughtfully—bread is delivered daily, and you can taste the freshness in every bite. Their sourdough has the perfect tang and chew, while the ciabatta holds its structure without being too dense.
The attention to detail in every order is what sets this place apart. If you’re the kind who notices the ratio of sauce to meat or the way the edges of your sandwich don’t get soggy halfway through—Reynolds was built for you.
As a food writer and frequent diner, I’ve tried countless sandwich spots across Orange County. What stands out here is the consistency. Week after week, visit after visit, the Reynolds Pastrami Special brings the same layered magic: warm pastrami, whole-grain mustard, pickles, Swiss, and toasted rye—it’s not just good, it’s memorable.
A community hub where flavor meets familiarity
Even though Reynolds Sandwich doesn’t look flashy from the outside, it’s carved a name for itself on local food blogs and restaurant review platforms. One Yelp reviewer called it “a tiny miracle in a business park”. Another said, “These guys could charge double and I’d still come back weekly.”
What you’ll notice over time is the loyal lunch crowd. Office workers walk over, delivery drivers swing by between routes, and families drop in for their go-to orders. This isn’t just a restaurant—it’s become a go-to lunch stop, and that speaks volumes.
And they haven’t stopped innovating. The limited-time Cuban Chicken Sandwich last fall? Packed with flavor, citrus marinade, garlic aioli, and sharp pickles—it sold out faster than expected, with a flurry of five-star reviews trailing behind.
Location, convenience, and the kind of place you want to return to
There’s something incredibly convenient about the spot—close to the 405 freeway, with ample parking and fast service that respects your lunch break. For locals and nearby businesses, it’s a neighborhood staple, while for newcomers, it feels like a discovery worth sharing.
They don’t have multiple locations, but honestly, it’s part of the charm. You know exactly where to find them: Irvine, California—1340 Reynolds Ave Ste 106. It's the kind of place that keeps its focus narrow and its execution tight.
Menu-wise, there’s something for everyone—from hearty meat options to veggie-friendly selections like the Grilled Portobello with feta and balsamic glaze. Drinks? Expect craft sodas and seasonal lemonades. And don’t skip the house-made potato chips—crispy, seasoned, and oddly addictive.
Outstanding food and service. I believe the owner is on site. This location is very clean.
